From frustrated lawyer to confectionery disruptor with products in more than 5000 locations nationally, Daniel Kitay’s story is a fascinating one.

Funday Natural Sweets was born of his own desire to maintain a recent weight loss while continuing to indulge in lollies, albeit without excessive sugars and other nasties. After a trip overseas to research possibilities, Daniel quit his legal job to pot around in the kitchen at home to explore whether he could make his vision of healthier confectionery a reality.

The risk paid off, with Chemist Warehouse in 2021 being the first major retailer to stock Funday. The company has been growing rapidly since, with the Funday range now also available in Coles and Woolworths (where it’s the leading sweet snack in the health aisle), as well as overseas.
